That was fun, lets do it 24 more times!
Here we go again! Last year was my first Polar Plunge, and it was a wonderful experience. This year I am stepping it up a few notches. My goal is to become a super plunger. That is 24 plunges in 24 hours! To do this I need to raise $3000 dollars.
I'm plunging because I support the work the SOOR does. I have volunteered with the organization before as a polar plunger and with the Timbers/Thorns organizations through the unified soccer match. My mother has been a special educator in Oregon for many years. I have many fond memories of visiting her where she taught, hanging out with her students, and volunteering with her on various projects.
In February I will be taking the chilly POLAR PLUNGE into the Columbia River to support the 14,000+ participants of Special Olympics Oregon (SOOR). Each year the athletes of SOOR train and compete their hardest, giving it their all, and being brave in the attempt.
I invite you to support me or join my team 'The Super Plungers' and help the Portland Polar Plunge reach its goal of $300,000 for this year’s Polar Plunge.
It’s a chilly job but someone has to do it!
- Half way there! Thanks everyone who has already donated, and thanks in advance to anyone who read this far down the page and is planning on donating.
