We are taking the plunge this February! Help us raise funds for the Special Olympics Oregon of Jackson County.
Since 2011, Southern Oregon Derby has been one of the top plunging teams! In 2011, 2015, and 2016 we were the largest plunging team! SO Derby is a staunch supporter of Jackson County's Special Olympics. We dedicate turn three of our flat track to the Special Olympics of Jackson County, their athletes, families, and partners, all who receive free admission to all of our home bouts. Over the years we have raised over $16,500 in donations and in-kind gifts for our local chapter. This money helps pay for the program's athletes to participate in tournaments, pays for the travel expenses of team members and coaches as well as make the Special Olympics program happen!
SO Derby is Southern Oregon’s first and largest skater-run, skater-owned non-profit league. As of December 2015, SO Derby has a membership of over 50 skaters in our Adult and Junior Leagues combined, with over 40 volunteers and support staff. SO Derby has expanded from a women's roller derby league to also including a female youth league. Since our inception, we have had the honor to serve the community with thousands of hours of service.
Please consider making a splash with SO Derby! Donate, join our team or join us as we embark on one of our many fundraisers! Every home bout, SO Derby dedicates turn three of the track to Special Olympics. All Special Olympic Athlete's in Jackson County receive free admission to our bouts. Help us reach our goal of $1,500! Every donation counts!
It’s a chilly job but someone has to do it!
